RoHS, which stands for "Restriction of Hazardous Substances," is a European Union directive that restricts the use of specific hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). The aim of RoHS is to protect human health and the environment from the risks posed by these substances, which include lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), among others.
